Forever and Always

Why do you leave me,
To do this on my own?
You know if you don't help me,
I can't get back home.
This is overpowering,
It's taking over me.
I wish that I could tell you,
But I'd rather leave you be.

I wish that you were with me,
You smile away my pain.
I hope that one day, maybe,
I can do the same.
I know you feel indiffernet,
I understand why too.
I hope that in the future,
I'll get over you.

And someday I might watch us,
Shrivel up and die.
I know that it will happen,
But I just don't know why.
I hope that you will grow up,
I hope it happens soon.
Then maybe you would wake up,
And maybe keep a few.
